Stephanie GENTY (Evry, SLAM) will present Ecofeminism, the classic book by Maria Mies et Vandana Shiva, first published in 1993 by Bloomsbury Academic, and reedited in 2014 (paperback, 2023). It tackles many issues but is especially interested in the negative repercussions of globalisation on the South, women and the environment. It discusses the structural and systemic imbalances inherent in patriarchal capitalism, with many examples, and also outlines new directions for a more just world economics.
